Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion is heading into its Oct. 2 theatrical open with one of the strongest advance windows of the Hindi year, as Day-1 pre-sales climb past ₹19–20 crore and extended-weekend advances approach ₹38 crore including blocked seats, The Times of India and Republic World reported on Oct. 1.

Republic, citing Sacnilk, puts Day-1 advances near ₹20 crore on about 5.43 lakh tickets across more than 12,000 shows, with Maharashtra and Delhi leading state tallies and overseas Day-1 advances already above ₹3 crore. The Times of India lists Day-1 advances at ₹19.71 crore, nearly ₹38 crore for the extended opening weekend including blocked seats (₹28.49 crore excluding them), and BookMyShow heat concentrated in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru, while Mumbai and Kolkata trail.

Trade chatter is sizing a possible ₹45–55 crore Day-1 gross if single-screen and eastern circuits catch fire, per analyst Sumit Kadel in The Times of India, with some desks floating a ₹50 crore-plus open if the Gandhi Jayanti holiday lift holds. Girish Johar’s more conservative band sits around ₹35–40 crore while flagging an unusually wide overseas footprint—more than 1,300 screens across roughly 60 countries, the widest yet for a Devgn title, according to that report.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Panorama Studios with Star Studio18, the film is billed as an original Hindi conclusion rather than a remake, reuniting Devgn with Tabu and adding Jaideep Ahlawat as Crime Branch SP Rajveer Singh Tomar opposite the family’s carefully guarded secrets. Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Ishita Dutta, and Mrunal Jadhav round out key roles. The first two Drishyam films together grossed about ₹453 crore worldwide; the 2015 original opened at ₹5.85 crore, while 2022’s sequel opened at ₹15.38 crore, The Times of India notes.

The Oct. 2 date gives the thriller a national holiday and limited same-day Hindi competition, which trade desks say helps explain why more than 85 shows were already sold out and six-figure ticket counts had cleared major multiplex chains by midweek. Whether the film can challenge Devgn’s ₹52.20 crore Singham Again Day-1 gross record will depend on how advances convert once reviews and word of mouth hit.

For readers following Hindi theatricals on Bollywood, verified as of Oct. 1 reports: Drishyam: The Conclusion opens Oct. 2; Day-1 advances near ₹20 crore; extended-weekend advances near ₹38 crore including blocked seats; Pathak directs Devgn, Tabu, and Ahlawat for Panorama/Star Studio18; overseas bookings are unusually wide for the franchise.
