Old Navy’s multiyear partnership with MrBeast delivered more than a 22% jump in traffic to the Gap Inc. brand’s online kids assortment after its 2026 back-to-school campaign launched, Marketing Dive and ContentGrip reported in mid-September coverage of company data.

Marketing Dive said the creator-led push generated over 100 million global video views and 1.4 billion YouTube impressions while also lifting Old Navy engagement on TikTok. Gap Inc. shared-marketing chief Damon Berger called creators “the ones that are driving culture” and described the work as Old Navy’s first back-to-school campaign anchored on a single creator, shifting away from glossy seasonal advertising toward storytelling native to MrBeast’s audience.

Activations mixed comedy, sweepstakes and student giveaways, including free lunch for a year at a Kansas middle school and meme-themed trivia with cash and gift cards. The partnership arrives after a 4% comparable-sales decline in Q2 and soft summer traffic; Gap CEO Richard Dickson has publicly pointed to MrBeast and a Cardi B denim campaign as proof of a marketing rewire, though sales impact awaits later earnings.

ContentGrip framed the 22% kids-traffic lift as an early funnel signal rather than a final sales verdict, arguing Old Navy is testing creators as a creative operating model—borrowing formats audiences already recognize—rather than pasting a celebrity onto standard retail ads. The brand expects more creator volume into the holiday window.

With MrBeast’s YouTube reach cited above 500 million subscribers in the Marketing Dive report, Old Navy’s bet is clear: Gen Alpha influence on parent spending is now a go-to-market centrepiece, not a side campaign.
