IShowSpeed's 'Speed Goes Pro' Season 2 Premieres With Derek Jeter; Tyson, Serena Ahead
IShowSpeed's YouTube series "Speed Goes Pro" returns Nov. 4 with a Derek Jeter episode, opening a six-episode second season with Dick's Sporting Goods that runs through a Feb. 7 finale against Mike Tyson.
IShowSpeed's sports series "Speed Goes Pro" returns for a second season on Wednesday, Nov. 4, with an opening episode featuring Baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter. The six-episode season, produced by OBB in partnership with Dick's Sporting Goods, premieres exclusively on the streamer's YouTube channel, according to Complex and the production company's project page.
The new season follows the format of the first. Across six episodes, Speed takes on a different sport, undergoing a crash course with world-class trainers and professional athletes before facing off against some of the greatest legends in sports history, OBB said. Alongside Jeter, this season's lineup includes Serena Williams, Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, Pete Weber and Mike Tyson.
A trailer on Monday, a premiere on Wednesday
IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., previewed the season on Monday, Nov. 2, Bleacher Report reported. Quoting the YouTube description, the outlet said that across six action-packed episodes, Speed takes on a different sport before facing off against some of the greatest legends in sports history.
According to Complex, Speed will step into the ring with Tyson, sprint with Bolt and trade groundstrokes with Williams. He will also chase Phelps in the pool, take batting practice with Jeter and bowl with Weber, a professional bowling champion.
The release is split into two parts. Complex reported that the first three episodes arrive this month: Jeter on Nov. 4, Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, on Wednesday, Nov. 11, and Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medalist and world-record-holding sprinter, on Nov. 18. The second volume begins Jan. 24 with Phelps, followed by Weber on Jan. 30, with Tyson closing the season on Feb. 7. Dutch outlet Puna published the same schedule on Nov. 4.
In a statement published by Complex, IShowSpeed said: "What I love about Speed Goes Pro is that we can bring together people from different generations through a shared love of sports." He added: "Some fans have followed these athletes their whole lives. For some of my younger fans, the show is a chance to get to know them for the first time." He also said, "I'm proud of what we've created with OBB and DICK'S. We had a lot of fun making this season, and I hope it makes people want to get out there and play."
Building on a 65 million-view first season
The first season of the series garnered over 65.3 million views, Complex reported. That season featured Tom Brady, Kevin Durant, Suni Lee, Joey Chestnut and Randy Orton, and premiered in September 2025, according to OBB.
The debut was screened at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Sept. 30, 2025. Sports Illustrated reported at the time that each legend would determine if Speed could go pro in their sport. "I can pretty much do everything, and y'all will see in this series, I pretty much did everything," Speed told the magazine.
TheWrap reported that Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian attended that premiere, which also marked the end of Speed's 35-day livestream marathon. Brady, who did not attend, sent a video message. "You've got a lot of raw athleticism, and even while getting burned, you made some plays that surprised me and you kept competing," the seven-time Super Bowl champion said, before joking, "Still, I've seen better footwork in a 7th grade gym class."
Hip-hop publication The Source reported that the original series was born from a commercial Speed originally filmed with the retailer. Listed executive producers included Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner, Kfir Goldberg, Camille Maratchi, Darren Watkins Jr. (IShowSpeed), Mason Klein and showrunner Eric Pankowski.
The road to Tyson and Bolt
Two of the season's pairings were preceded by earlier public encounters. In July, Tyson met Speed during the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, Complex reported. In a clip shared by Tyson, Speed said, "I wanna become a fighter," and Tyson replied, "We'll work it out, we'll work it out," before proposing a bout with singer Ray J. Puna noted that the boxing pairing with Tyson in the new season follows that challenge from last summer.
Bolt's appearance was also anticipated. Taiwanese outlet JUKSY reported that Speed has repeatedly said he wanted to race the sprinter, and that the two were photographed together at a school track in September while filming, prompting speculation that they were shooting for a second season.
What comes next
New episodes will be released on IShowSpeed's YouTube channel rather than on a television network or a subscription streaming service. Williams' episode is scheduled for Nov. 11 and Bolt's for Nov. 18, with the remaining three episodes set for January and February, according to Complex.
