Gregg Renfrew Launches beecee Gen Z Clean Beauty With 25K Community
Beautycounter founder Gregg Renfrew launches beecee on Sept. 15 with four clean essentials and a 25,000-person pre-launch community, per NewBeauty and Beauty News Daily.
Beautycounter founder Gregg Renfrew launched beecee on September 15, 2026, a Gen Z–focused clean beauty line that built a five-figure community before shipping a single SKU, NewBeauty and Beauty News Daily reported.
NewBeauty said more than 25,000 women across all 50 U.S. states joined the community through word of mouth and social channels, tested formulas, and shaped an opening assortment of four multitasking essentials: The Everything Balm ($24), The Superfine Mist ($28), The Dewy Gel Cream ($38) and The Well-Rounded Bar ($22), plus a $36 travel case. Every formula follows Renfrew’s Counter Standard Blueprint for Clean and The Never List, which excludes more than 3,300 ingredients.
Beauty News Daily, previewing the same launch window, described beecee as a younger sibling to Counter rather than a replacement, and highlighted Collective Commerce—a membership model that drops follower-count gates in favour of mentorship, education, events, early access and paid member opportunities. Earlier waitlist figures cited in that coverage topped 10,000 before the community scaled further into launch week.
Renfrew told NewBeauty she wants to bring a decade of clean-beauty advocacy into a conversation with a generation asking beauty to “work differently,” building “with women” instead of prescribing what they should fix. She said the hardest part of development was holding product, packaging and safety standards while iterating on blunt tester feedback rather than racing to market.
For retailers and creators watching clean beauty’s next chapter, beecee’s bet is community-first commerce: sell fewer, harder-working products, and treat Gen Z members as co-builders, not billboards.
