As of now, over 22,967 tickets have been snapped up for more than 350 screenings in the US, resulting in an impressive $528,641 in pre-sales, according to insights from Venky Reviews, a prominent trade analyst based in the USA.
With 13 days remaining until its release on October 19, 2023, "Leo" is poised to break advance booking records, aiming to cross the coveted $1 million mark.
While the advance sales in the USA are impressive, it remains to be seen if "Leo" can surpass the nearly $3 million earned by SS Rajamouli's RRR on its premiere day.
However, domestically, the Hindi version of the film may face a challenge, with an expected dry spell at the box office due to the absence of Hindi releases in major national multiplex chains like PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis.
Reports indicate that the 4-week OTT window for Leo's Hindi version will lead to a limited release in multiplexes. Nevertheless, distributors are determined to maximize the impact with single-screen showings.
