Tate McRae marked the arrival of her debut fragrance, Tate 01, with a New York launch party look that matched the bottle: a silver Saint Laurent slip and a pendant shaped like the scent flacon. Harper’s Bazaar reported that the “Sports Car” singer wore the spaghetti-strap, cowl-neck, open-back minidress with gold laced Saint Laurent stilettos and a black-and-gold clutch at the Thursday-night celebration covered in its Oct. 10 style dispatch. FashionNetwork detailed the product partnership with Scent Beauty, positioning Tate 01 as a modern “second-skin” woody fragrance built with Givaudan master perfumers Adriana Medina and Antoine Maisondieu.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, McRae told Jimmy Fallon she had worked on the perfume for about a year, calling fragrance “such a pop star thing” and joking that she had been “cooking up in the lab.” The magazine described the finished juice as woody, with bergamot, sage, amber and sandalwood among the notes she highlighted, and said she mirrored the sleek bottle design in the silver pendant she wore to the party. Side-parted blonde hair, smokey eyes and a glossy lip completed the launch look, Bazaar reported.

FashionNetwork’s earlier product brief fills in the formula and retail path. The scent opens with bergamot and clary sage, moves into a white-floral heart, and rests on amber, tonka bean, sandalwood and soft woods, with ISO E Super cited as a woody ingredient meant to interact with skin chemistry. McRae, quoted by the trade, called fragrance “that final invisible layer” in her beauty routine and said she wears Tate 01 in rehearsals so it “warms up and moves with my body.” A global campaign photographed by Mario Sorrenti nods to 1990s supermodel imagery against natural landscapes, FashionNetwork said.

Pricing and distribution land the launch in the Ulta-era pop-fragrance lane. FashionNetwork reported direct-to-consumer sizing from 10ml to 100ml at $30–$82 via tatebytm.com, followed by an Ulta Beauty exclusive — online Oct. 16 and in more than 1,500 stores Oct. 25. Scent Beauty CEO Stephen Mormoris framed the deal as the start of a longer fragrance brand, listing a portfolio that already includes names such as Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton.

Harper’s Bazaar placed McRae in the lineage of pop-star signature scents — from Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears to Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande — while the Oct. 10 party photos lock the fashion headline: Saint Laurent silver, on-theme jewelry, and a debut juice now on sale. For a chart-driven artist expanding into beauty, Tate 01 is the wardrobe-and-bottle story of the week.

The launch arrives as McRae’s pop profile keeps expanding beyond singles and tours into beauty retail — a lane FashionNetwork noted Scent Beauty has already worked with other music personalities. Harper’s Bazaar’s party coverage, published two days after the Thursday event, locked the fashion credit sheet while the trade’s product story supplied the formula, campaign photographer and Ulta calendar. Together the outlets show both the red-carpet optics and the commercial scaffolding behind a debut “second-skin” scent priced for a broad fan base rather than a niche luxury counter.
