Kim Kardashian carried her 46th birthday celebrations from Beverly Hills to Rome this week, stepping out in the Italian capital with her mother, Kris Jenner, in a custom Erdem gown and a plunging white dress after a family dinner in Los Angeles at which she wore two archival Paco Rabanne couture minidresses. Kardashian turned 46 on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The Skims founder was photographed in Rome on Friday, Oct. 23, according to InStyle, which reported that she visited Bvlgari during the trip. People also published a photo of Kardashian on a night out in Rome on Oct. 23, describing the outing as coming two days after her birthday.

A custom Erdem gown outside the Bulgari Hotel

Harper's Bazaar reported that Kardashian and stylist Law Roach turned to Erdem for the Rome trip. Photographed outside the city's Bulgari Hotel, she wore a custom version of a color-blocked gown from the label's Spring 2027 collection, the magazine said. According to Harper's Bazaar, the dress had a crushed-satin bodice with a fitted black bra top and a blush-pink midsection, cut-out detailing and crystal flower embellishments, along with a long sheer lace skirt and bedazzled spaghetti straps that hung down the body like fringe. The runway version included an extra panel of fabric layered over the lace that created a peplum waist, the outlet noted.

The Daily Mail reported that Kardashian wore the sheer lace gown as she left the Bulgari Hotel on Friday night, with her hair in a high ponytail. Jenner, 70, wore a leopard-print set, which Harper's Bazaar identified as Chanel.

Earlier in the day, the Daily Mail reported, Kardashian and Jenner were seen heading to the Bvlgari store. For that outing, InStyle reported, Kardashian wore a bright white gown with a deep plunging neckline, a gathered bodice and a long draping skirt, paired with white platform open-toed heels and a sleek high ponytail.

Two Rabanne couture looks at a family dinner

Before the Italy trip, Kardashian celebrated with family at Baldi, the Tuscan steakhouse inside the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. E! News dated the dinner to Oct. 20, the night before her birthday, and Harper's Bazaar described it as a pre-birthday dinner. Guests included Jenner, sisters Khloé, Kourtney and Kylie, and brother Rob Kardashian, whose attendance E! News described as a very rare outing.

For the dinner, Kardashian wore two looks from the Paco Rabanne fall 1995 haute couture collection that were selected by Olivier Rousteing, the house's creative director, Vogue reported. She arrived in look 21, a green crystal-trimmed mesh minidress with a plunging neckline and a high slit, worn with a chainmail headpiece set with oversized emerald-green stones. She left in look 22 from the same collection, a fuchsia version of the first dress, with a headpiece featuring smaller red cabochons and an oversized crystal pendant necklace, according to Vogue.

Harper's Bazaar reported that Kardashian wore black patent-leather sandal heels from Paris Texas, and E! News said she kept the same heels when she changed into the second dress. The magazine also reported that she changed looks partway through the meal, arriving in the green dress and leaving in the red one.

Rousteing has not yet shown his first collection for Rabanne, Vogue noted. "For me, fashion has always been about connecting the past, the present and the future," he told the magazine. "I believe we need to understand the stories that came before us to create something meaningful today, and something even more powerful tomorrow."

An early celebration in the Philippines

The Los Angeles dinner and the Rome outings followed an earlier birthday trip to the Philippines. Philstar.com reported on Friday, Oct. 16, that Kardashian had shared Instagram photos from a private island in the country, showing her scuba diving, watching the sunset, blowing out the candles on a birthday cake and watching fireworks over the sea. She captioned the post "Philippines Birthday Adventures," according to the outlet, which reported that Kourtney Kardashian and Jenner were among those who commented.

Kardashian on turning 46

Kardashian discussed her outlook on her 40s in a recent interview. In an interview with The Sunday Times published Oct. 3 and quoted by E! News, she said, "There's definitely something about being in your 40s that gives you this extra confidence. You know your path and that feels good."

"I've switched my mentality, and now I'm coming from a place of longevity and cellular health," she added in the same interview, according to E! News. Kardashian is also preparing for the second season of the series "All's Fair," in which she stars alongside Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close, Philstar.com reported.
