The Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers are headed for a National League Championship Series rematch after both clubs closed out their Division Series on Wednesday night, MLB.com and CBS Sports reported.

In Atlanta, Andy Pages delivered the breakthrough the Dodgers had been missing. Hitless through the first two NLDS games and still searching for a hit with runners in scoring position all series, the first-time All-Star punched a two-run single into left-center in the seventh inning of Game 4, lifting Los Angeles to a 4-1 win over the Braves at Truist Park and a 3-1 series victory. The hit was the Dodgers’ first — and only — with runners in scoring position in 20 plate appearances in the series, MLB.com’s Sonja Chen noted.

Manager Dave Roberts had publicly backed Pages before the series shifted to Atlanta, saying he believed the club would need the young center fielder to win a World Series. Pages, who missed most of September with a fractured left hand and posted a .211 OPS across the 2025 postseason, answered that faith against Robert Suarez’s 100 mph fastball. “I like being in those at-bats,” Pages said in Spanish. “There are times the result comes, sometimes not. But I prepare to be in those spots, and today I was able to get the result.”

Hours later in San Diego, the Brewers finished the Padres 3-1 at Petco Park to take their NLDS and set up a second straight pennant fight with Los Angeles. Game 1 of the NLCS is scheduled for Sunday at American Family Field, per CBS Sports’ Kate Feldman. Milwaukee won a franchise-record 103 games in the regular season and had to snap a 12-game postseason road losing streak — tied for the longest in MLB history — to close the series, MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy reported.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy called the Dodgers a “monumental task,” pointing to All-Star talent at nearly every position, but stressed that teams win October series. Cy Young Award front-runner Jacob Misiorowski was warming in the Petco bullpen as Milwaukee protected its lead Wednesday — a signal that, with the NLDS finished in four games, the right-hander is lined up to start NLCS Game 1. Reliever Trevor Megill finished the save so Misiorowski was not needed.

The Dodgers, bidding for a rare World Series three-peat, have won five straight road postseason games dating to Game 2 of the 2025 Fall Classic and are 10-1 in their past 11 on the road in October. They sprayed champagne in the visitors’ clubhouse in Atlanta even as president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said he hoped the club would cash in more runners-in-scoring-position chances in the next round.

With the Rays already into the ALCS and only the Guardians–White Sox ALDS still unfinished, the NL bracket is set: Los Angeles versus Milwaukee again. For fans of high-leverage October baseball, the rematch starts Sunday night. More sports coverage is on our Sports page.
