Airwave and The Young Turks Strike Seven-Figure Multiplatform Ad Deal

Podcast and video sales network Airwave signed an exclusive seven-figure multiplatform advertising partnership with The Young Turks on September 15, 2026, giving Airwave representation over a defined portfolio of TYT’s premium podcast, digital video, live and Google Ad Manager 360 inventory, according to Podcast News Daily and TYT’s announcement carried on Podnews.

Financial terms beyond the seven-figure framing were not disclosed. Podcast News Daily reported that the deal lets Airwave’s sales team take TYT’s multiplatform roster—including shows such as The Young Turks, The Damage Report and Indisputable—to advertisers as a single package spanning audio, digital video, live programming and YouTube partner sales via GAM360. Airwave Chief Content Officer Ben Mathis said the company is eager to present TYT’s roster “with a particular emphasis on TYT’s exciting GAM360 capabilities.”

For TYT, the partnership is among the first major commercial initiatives overseen by Praveen Singh since she became Chief Business Officer after serving as CFO and CMO. “The opportunity in front of us now is to be just as ambitious and innovative about the business we build around that audience,” Singh said in remarks carried by Podcast News Daily and the Podnews press release. TYT founder and CEO Cenk Uygur framed the Airwave deal as the next stage after building scale: “Now we’re going to be equally ambitious about the business opportunities around it.”

The agreement also underscores how podcast advertising and video sales are converging as networks sell creators across formats rather than treating audio and video as separate silos. Airwave already represents more than 130 podcasts and video channels and is preparing to take sales fully in-house ahead of 2027, Podcast News Daily reported, citing recent hires including Charles Dannison as senior VP of podcast sales, Sam Hoffnagle as VP of revenue operations, and Jim Lally as VP of partnerships and business development.

For Podcast News desks, Tuesday’s story is less about a single show launch than about independent progressive media testing a third-party, multiplatform monetization model. Singh said more initiatives are coming across advertising, distribution, content and platforms—and that independent media rewards companies “willing to move quickly and think creatively.” Until later filings or rate-card details emerge, the verified facts are the exclusive sales mandate, the seven-figure framing, and the GAM360-plus-podcast package both outlets described.
