Nigerian streamer Peller and content creator Jarvis are expecting their first child. The couple announced the pregnancy on Thursday, Oct. 8, in Instagram posts that included photos of Jarvis showing her baby bump, according to Daily Post Nigeria and Pulse Ghana. The news comes about two months after the pair’s highly publicized wedding celebrations.

In the message shared with the photos, the couple reflected on how their relationship has changed. “From two people who once had no idea where this journey would take us… to husband and wife, and now soon to be parents,” they wrote, as quoted by both outlets. “We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve prayed, we’ve grown, and through it all, God kept writing our story.”

Pulse Ghana reported that the post went on to call the pregnancy the couple’s “most beautiful chapter yet” and described the baby as “our greatest blessing” and “our answered prayer.” According to Pulse Ghana, the announcement ended with a short sign-off celebrating the family growing from two to three: “Peller & Javis… and now, a little one on the way.” Pulse Ghana spells her name Javis, while Daily Post, Channels Television and The Nation use Jarvis.

The couple did not share a due date in the posts described by either outlet. Daily Post noted that fans had speculated about a pregnancy before the wedding, and that the couple had not confirmed one publicly until Thursday’s announcement. Reactions began pouring in soon after the photos went up, Pulse Ghana reported.

Peller, whose real name is Habeeb Hamzat, and Jarvis rose to prominence through collaborative TikTok content and livestreams before their partnership turned romantic, Channels Television reported. The Nation described them as one of Nigeria’s most talked-about TikTok couples after their playful skits and livestreams went viral, with large followings on TikTok, Twitch and YouTube.

Their path to marriage played out largely in public. According to Channels Television, Peller paid Jarvis’ bride price during a family introduction in June, and the couple held a traditional wedding on Aug. 1 that drew celebrities, content creators and influencers; The Nation called it a star-studded event. They followed it with a white wedding in Lagos on Saturday, Aug. 8, which Peller had limited to about 100 guests after concerns over the size of the crowd and reports of missing phones at the traditional ceremony.

True to their roots as streamers, the couple let fans watch the white wedding online. The Nation reported that the ceremony was streamed on Twitch and YouTube for supporters who could not attend, and Channels Television said guests included Peter Okoye of Psquare. Videos from the day, including Peller in tears as he exchanged vows, continued to circulate on social media afterward. For more creator news, visit our Influencers page.
