Meta Launches Creator Marketing Hub and Instagram Live Partnership Ads

Meta has rolled out its long-teased Creator Marketing Hub, folding Creator Marketplace and Partnership Ads Hub into one brand-facing workflow for discovering creators, evaluating organic posts, managing permissions, messaging talent, and spinning partnership ads from the same screen. Social Media Today dated the official launch to Tuesday, Sept. 15, with wider coverage continuing into Sept. 16 as the company tied the release to IABs Global Creator Week.

MediaPost reported that the unified hub mirrors moves already familiar on TikTok, Snapchat, and LinkedIn: let advertisers find creators and brand-adjacent content, then activate that content as paid partnership ads without bouncing between four tools. Meta first previewed the merge in late June; the September ship adds discovery filters including a predicted affiliate content” search objective-based recommendations, one-click ad creation from listings, content-level permissions with expiration dates, editing controls to strip copyrighted music or stickers, and in-hub partnership messaging.

API expansion is the quieter half of the story. Facebook creators are joining Instagram talent inside the Creator Marketplace API; an updated Messaging API is meant to support outreach from third-party platforms; and the Content Discovery API now surfaces top-performing organic creator posts with keyword search, filters, performance insights, and a flag for assets already cleared to run as ads. Social Media Today also noted Meta AI’s business assistant chatbot landing inside the hub to help with creator discovery — another sign Meta wants the suite to feel like Ads Manager with a creator layer, not a separate influencer portal.

Live inventory arrives next. Beginning Sept. 29, Meta will expand live-video partnership ads from Facebook to Instagram, letting brands sponsor and amplify a creator’s livestream as paid media. MediaPost and Affiverse both flag product launches, demos, and time-sensitive drops as the obvious early use cases — real-time engagement packaged as media rather than organic hope.

Affiverse, publishing Sept. 16 analysis, drew a bright line that performance teams should not miss: partnership ads remain paid distribution. The “predicted affiliate content filter may hint at commercially useful creators, but Meta has not announced commission rates, order-level attribution, or performance-based creator payouts inside the hub. Instagrams existing affiliate-link tools for eligible Reels sit beside this launch, not inside it — a distinction that matters when finance and legal ask whether a campaign is media spend, affiliate, or both.

Industry context helps explain the timing. MediaPost cited the 2025 IAB Creator Economy Report figure that 45% of consumer purchases are influenced by creator recommendations, with creator ad spend growing four times faster than overall media. Emplifi data referenced in the same piece said smaller brands see roughly 5x more interactions from creator collaborations than from standard posts, and that 73% of brands already use Instagram’s collaboration feature. Against that backdrop, collapsing discovery-to-whitelisting friction is less a vanity UI refresh and more a bid to capture budgets that might otherwise stay on short-form rival platforms.

Operationally, the hub closes gaps brands have complained about for years: find a post, negotiate rights, set expiration, strip music that would kill a paid cut, message the creator, and launch the partnership ad without leaving Metas stack. Availability may still vary by market and advertiser account as features continue to roll out — Social Media Today and Affiverse both caution that “launched does not mean every checkbox is live everywhere on day one.

For creator desks and brand marketers watching September’s product calendar, the dual record from Social Media Today and MediaPost — with Affiverses affiliate caveat is straightforward: Meta is productizing creator marketing as media buying, adding Instagram Live ads on Sept. 29, and leaving true performance attribution for a later chapter. Whether creators feel the upside will depend less on the hubs chrome and more on how brands price usage rights once one-click activation becomes the default path from organic hit to paid flight.
