YouTube is adding video-cut A/B testing and Ask Studio draft feedback to its creator toolkit as part of the Made on YouTube slate announced Sept. 23, TechCrunch and the YouTube blog reported.

Ask Studio lets creators share draft videos with AI for personalized feedback drawn from their channel history and audience comments. The feature can propose alternative titles and thumbnails, explain performance through channel analytics, and suggest ways to improve metrics, TechCrunch noted. It is also expanding to YouTube’s mobile apps.

Distinct from the title-and-thumbnail A/B tests already live in Studio, the new video A/B testing path lets creators try up to three different cuts to see which holds attention best, per the YouTube blog. TechCrunch reported the Shorts version of that multi-cut testing rolls into 2027. Dynamic Thumbnails, also unveiled in the slate, lets creators upload multiple images and leave YouTube to pick which one is most likely to draw a viewer.

Creators can apply Ask Studio tools to older catalog videos as well. If they opt in, the feature can monitor thumbnail performance and spin up tests to refine past uploads, TechCrunch reported. YouTube framed Studio as an end-to-end creative partner spanning production, packaging, and channel strategy in CEO Neal Mohan’s Made on YouTube post.

As brief context, the same slate includes a live auto-dubbing pilot early next year that translates creators speech into other languages in real time, plus live showdowns and creator matchmaking — secondary to the A/B and Ask Studio lead, TechCrunch and the YouTube blog both noted.

For creator-economy readers on Influencers, Made on YouTubes packaging tools put cut-level testing and draft feedback beside the title/thumb experiments many channels already run. Verified as of Sept. 23 reports: Ask Studio draft feedback from channel history/comments; title/thumbnail proposals; video A/B up to three cuts (Shorts rollout into 2027 per TechCrunch); Dynamic Thumbnails; live auto-dubbing pilot early 2027. How quickly creators trust AI-shaped edits will shape adoption into next year.
