Steven Bartlett and Authentic Brands Launch OBSN, Betting an Up-to-$400 Million Push on Creator-Led Companies
Steven Bartlett unveils OBSN, an up-to-$400 million creator venture with Authentic Brands Group, September 2026.

The creator economy's latest capital story is a podcast star and a licensing giant arguing that top creators should be built like brands with balance sheets. On September 14, 2026, The Diary of a CEO host Steven Bartlett, through Steven.com, partnered with Authentic Brands Group to launch OBSN, a venture aiming to deploy up to $400 million into creator-led media companies and brands, according to Business Insider and The Publish Press.

OBSN's pitch is integration. Bartlett says creators need a truly integrated partner rather than fragmented agencies. Steven.com will run OBSN's media, technology and data stack, including the Obsession creator-economy media platform, while Authentic will handle brand-building, products, licensing, strategic partnerships and global distribution.

Authentic's portfolio includes Reebok, Sports Illustrated and cultural figures including Shaquille O'Neal and Elvis Presley. Bartlett's Diary of a CEO reaches roughly 20 million YouTube subscribers, giving OBSN a proof-of-concept audience. His FlightStory operation has already invested in creator talent and built media infrastructure.

The $400 million is an ambition ceiling, not a disclosed closed fund: the companies have not named the number of creators receiving capital or published a deployment calendar. For creators, the signal is that capital is chasing ownership, products, licensing and media companies—not only campaigns. The next checkpoints are named portfolio creators, product rollouts and Obsession's live-events strategy.
