In a recent interview with Variety, Hollywood luminary Jason Momoa, renowned for his roles in major productions such as Fast X and the Aquaman franchise, conveyed his earnest desire to be associated with critically acclaimed cinematic endeavors. Despite the commendable success of his latest venture, "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," Momoa candidly shared his dissatisfaction with the customary lack of recognition his movies tend to receive at esteemed awards ceremonies.

Momoa, whose earlier career includes notable contributions to projects like "Baywatch" and his breakthrough role as Khal Drogo in "Game of Thrones," disclosed a challenging period in his professional journey when he faced difficulties securing roles. However, his portrayal of Arthur Curry in "Justice League" not only revitalized his career but also garnered him a renewed and dedicated fan base.

During the interview, Momoa articulated his aspirations for the future, emphasizing a sincere wish to be involved in "really, really good movies." While expressing a desire to revisit certain film projects, he subtly hinted at a perceived lack of acknowledgment for movies such as "Aquaman 2" and "Fast X." Momoa remarked, "I’ve just never been a part of movies that — none of my movies are going to the awards. I’m not really that guy. So maybe one day it’d be nice to do one of those kinds of movies, where it’s a really, really good movie."

Turning to his role in the upcoming Fast X sequel, where he is set to reprise his character Dante Reyes, Momoa conveyed his enthusiasm for portraying the antagonist. Despite not having seen the script, he expressed optimism about the project slated for release in 2025.

In addition to his involvement in the Fast X sequel, Momoa disclosed his participation in the Minecraft movie alongside Jack Black, scheduled for release in 2025.
