Lara Worthington’s Ommage Debuts With Three Sculptural Beauty SKUs
Lara Worthington launches Ommage with First Base, Lip Coat, and Buffer Brush via Ommage.com plus Dover Street Parfums Market, per Retail Beauty and Beauty News Daily.
Model and entrepreneur Lara Worthington has returned to beauty with Ommage, a three-product makeup launch built around sculptural packaging and pared-back formulas, available in Australia and the United States via Ommage.com with early wholesale at Dover Street Parfums Market in Paris, Retail Beauty and Beauty News Daily reported this week.
The debut lineup is deliberately small: First Base, a buildable tinted cream in 12 shades priced at $68 for 30 ml; Lip Coat, a soft-focus lipstick in eight shades at $52; and the Buffer Brush, a weighted aluminum-handled vegan-fibre brush at $58 designed for First Base, Retail Beauty detailed. Beauty News Daily, previewing the drop, likewise framed the brand as a three-SKU open and pointed to a Sept. 22 consumer launch window on Ommage.com, with prices starting in the mid-$30s depending on the item.
Worthington described Ommage as starting 'with a simple idea: that beauty can start with the object itself', aiming for sculptural pieces that feel as good in the hand as on the face. Packaging was created with artist and graphic designer Brian Roettinger - known for work with Skims and Necessaire - and draws on industrial shapes altered by pressure, with deliberately dented, anti-precious surfaces, Beauty News Daily reported. That object-first pitch is the brand's clearest differentiator in a market flooded with lookalike glass jars.
First Base is pitched as a hydrating complexion cream that evens skin without full-coverage masking, a spiritual successor to the complexion formula that defined Worthington's earlier The Base by Lara Bingle era. Shade names such as Pinch, Twist, Stretch, and Flatten lean into the pressure-and-form motif rather than traditional foundation naming. Lip Coat targets the blurred, soft-focus lip trend with buildable colour across eight shades. 'Every formula was developed to accentuate features, rather than mask or correct,' Worthington said, per Beauty News Daily.
Retail Beauty said Ommage also staged a New York launch event at Climax Books and is stocking Dover Street Parfums Market from day one, giving the brand an international physical footprint unusual for such a tight assortment. The strategy contrasts with celebrity beauty launches that open with dozens of SKUs; Worthington is betting that three well-designed products and distinctive objects can cut through a crowded shelf and still travel across AU, US, and European discovery channels.
Readers tracking brand launches on Lifestyle will find Ommage distinct from live Vogue World Milano beauty coverage and the Carte Blanche Violet Grey skin-tint SPF story already published. The news here is the Sept. 22 open, the three-product architecture, and the Roettinger collaboration on packaging - not a retread of those earlier desks.
Whether the industrial-object aesthetic converts browsers into repeat buyers will show up in early sell-through, but the dual trade coverage underscores how Worthington is repositioning after more than a decade in beauty entrepreneurship - smaller assortment, stronger design language, and simultaneous AU/US digital plus European boutique placement. For lifestyle readers, that is a cleaner story than another sprawling influencer line: edit ruthlessly, design loudly, and let the object do the marketing.
Retail Beauty's day-of coverage and Beauty News Daily's pre-launch deep dive together establish pricing, shade counts, and the Roettinger design brief from independent beauty trades - enough dual sourcing for a Lifestyle desk item without relying on celebrity social posts alone.
