Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha Trailer Sets Sept. 25 Hindi–Chhattisgarhi Release
Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha trailer lands ahead of Sept. 25 Hindi and Chhattisgarhi release, centered on devotion, per India Today and Bollywood Hungama.
The official trailer for Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha landed Thursday ahead of a dual-language theatrical release on September 25, positioning the epic as a devotion-forward retelling rather than a pure spectacle play, India Today reported. Dev Sharma plays Lord Ram, Anjali Arora debuts as Sita, and Rajniesh Duggall appears as Ravan, with Sheel Verma as Lakshman and Nirbhay Wadhwa as Hanuman.
The nearly three-minute trailer moves through vanvas, Sita haran, Hanuman’s bhakti, and the clash of dharm and adharm, anchored by the line “Adharm Ke Saamne Dharm Ka Naam, Shri Ram.” Director Abhishek Singh has said the team kept returning to katha bhav—the emotional register of love between Ram and Sita, Hanuman’s devotion, Lakshman’s duty, and Ram’s maryada—as the centre of the telling.
Bollywood Hungama published the official trailer listing the same September 25 Hindi and Chhattisgarhi cinema release under AJ Film Entertainment World and Mahobiya Films. Prakash Mahobiya and Sanjay Bundela produce, with Honey Kuldeep Agarwal and Monika Sen as co-producers and Ajay Kanojia presenting.
Music is a promotional pillar: voices including Kailash Kher, Javed Ali, Farhad Bhiwandiwala, Anurag Sharma, and Sunil Soni appear across Hindi and Chhattisgarhi tracks, following earlier drops of Siya Ram, Ram Ji Ki Sena, and Hey Hanuman. Portions were filmed at real locations in Chhattisgarh, tying the state’s landscapes into the katha’s world beyond the dual-language release plan.
With the trailer now circulating a week before opening day, Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha enters a busy late-September corridor pitching intimacy and devotion against bigger mythological canvases. Whether audiences buy the quieter emotional brief will show up quickly once Hindi and Chhattisgarhi prints hit theatres on September 25.
