Filmmaker duo Abbas–Mustan announced their next thriller, 3 Monkeys, with a first motion poster on Gandhi Jayanti, Oct. 2, starring Arjun Rampal, Vishal Jethwa, Mustafa Burmawala, and Tenzin Dalha, India Today and Outlook India reported.

Both outlets say the campaign reworks the familiar Three Wise Monkeys motif for a contemporary setting while keeping the wider plot under wraps. The poster swaps the traditional “Bura Mat Dekho, Bura Mat Suno, Bura Mat Bolo” (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil) for “Sab Dekho. Apni Suno. Bekhauf Bolo” — observe everything, listen, speak fearlessly. Outlook frames that slogan flip as moving the emphasis from silence and restraint toward observation, judgment, and speaking out a tonal cue that matches the masked, armed imagery without explaining the crime or conflict at the story’s center.

At the center are three masked, armed characters — Amar, Akbar, and Anthony — played by Jethwa, Burmawala, and Dalha. Rampal plays Sanjay, also shown armed in the motion poster; his link to the trio has not been disclosed, India Today and Outlook both note. India Today adds that the motion poster opens on the traditional Three Wise Monkeys before shifting to the film’s central trio, underscoring the proverb-to-rewrite concept.

The makers stop short of saying whether the masked men are tied to a robbery, a heist, or another conflict, leaving motives for an upcoming teaser and trailer.

Abbas–Mustan direct; Allarakha Vohra, Faruk Vohra, and Sayeed Vohra produce; AJ Film Entertainment World presents. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on Dec. 4, 2026. India Today adds that the date is currently slated to clash with Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha and an untitled Akshay Kumar–Vidya Balan comedy — scheduling that can still shift as campaigns firm up and theatrical calendars settle after the festive window.

Recent credits also land in both reports: Rampal was last seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge; Jethwa in Homebound; Burmawala debuted with Machine and has kept a lower on-screen profile since; Dalha has appeared in The Family Man, Rana Naidu, and Axone. Vishal Jethwa’s Instagram caption accompanying the poster, quoted by Outlook, leans into the rewrite of the monkeys proverb: they “don’t play by the rules. They rewrite them,” pairing the Hindi slogan with an English tease that the new-age monkeys chose otherwise.

For Hindi thriller watchers, the Gandhi Jayanti timing is deliberate brand theater: a national holiday tied to non-violence imagery becomes the launch pad for a campaign that literally inverts “see/hear/speak no evil. That contrast is the clearest public signal so far — more so than any plot synopsis — about how Abbas–Mustan want audiences to read the title before the first proper trailer lands.

For readers following Hindi thriller slates on Bollywood, verified as of Oct. 2–3 coverage: dual India Today and Outlook India reporting anchors the Oct. 2 Gandhi Jayanti motion-poster launch, cast roles, slogan flip, producers, and Dec. 4 worldwide date without inventing plot beats the makers have not revealed. This package is distinct from LIVE Day-1 box-office coverage of Drishyam: The Conclusion and does not rehash that opening-day tally.
