Marvel Studios is launching an official companion podcast for its Disney+ series VisionQuest, timed to arrive alongside the show's finale on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026. The VisionQuest Official Podcast will be hosted by Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani and podcaster and comedian Frank Alvarez, and will feature series star Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica and showrunner Terry Matalas, according to reports published Nov. 4 by Screen Rant, MovieWeb and Laughing Place.

The announcement came the day before Vellani and Alvarez began a new run of their other Marvel show, the Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast, which returned on Thursday, Nov. 5, with an episode on the original X-Men film trilogy.

What the VisionQuest Podcast Will Include

According to Screen Rant, the companion podcast will be released on Disney+, Marvel's YouTube channel and podcasting platforms at the same time the VisionQuest finale debuts on Disney+, allowing viewers to watch the final episode and then hear reactions from the cast and showrunner. Screen Rant and Laughing Place both put the release at 6 p.m. PT, which is 9 p.m. ET. Laughing Place reported that the video version will be available on Disney+ and Marvel's YouTube channel, while an audio version will be offered on regular podcast services.

The guest lineup includes Bettany, who plays Vision; Spader, who plays Ultron; Mollica, who plays Tommy Maximoff; and Matalas, who created the series. MovieWeb identified Alvarez as a host of The Basement Yard and noted that he and Vellani previously co-hosted the Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday podcast.

Laughing Place reported that the announcement did not make clear whether the VisionQuest podcast would be a single special or split into multiple installments, and said it had contacted Disney for comment. The outlet described the release as a continuation of Marvel Studios' recent push into official podcasts tied to its projects.

The Series Behind the Podcast

VisionQuest is the final chapter in a trilogy of Marvel shows that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along, Screen Rant reported. Bettany reprises his Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Vision, and Spader returns as Ultron, this time in human form. The outlet reported that the series premiered in mid-October and drew an 86% score on Rotten Tomatoes, compared with 92% for WandaVision and 84% for Agatha All Along.

Matalas created the series and wrote and directed some episodes, according to Screen Rant. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is an executive producer alongside Matalas, Louis D'Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, Jac Schaeffer and Christopher J. Byrne. The cast also includes Todd Stashwick, T'Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Emily Hampshire and James D'Arcy.

MovieWeb reported that Marvel's live-action television schedule will slow after VisionQuest, with Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 in March 2027 and Zodiac in 2028 as the only confirmed live-action Disney+ releases. Screen Rant reported that Season 3 will be the final installment of Daredevil: Born Again and that the animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Marvel Zombies and X-Men '97 are set to return next year.

The Countdown Podcast Returns

Vellani and Alvarez first teamed up on the Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday Official Podcast, a rewatch show that premiered on Aug. 27, according to its Apple Podcasts listing. In each episode, the hosts revisit a key Marvel film, recap its major moments and discuss its cultural legacy, Marvel.com reported.

The first five episodes covered the Infinity Saga, from 2012's The Avengers to 2019's Avengers: Endgame, and coincided with the September theatrical re-release of Avengers Endgame: Encore, according to Marvel. Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. joined as guests during that run.

Marvel announced that the podcast would return for six new episodes covering films from the Multiverse Saga, with one episode devoted to the original X-Men trilogy, and that the new run would begin Nov. 5 with weekly episodes on Thursdays. The Nov. 5 episode, listed on Apple Podcasts, revisits X-Men, X2: X-Men United and X-Men: The Last Stand. Its description says the hosts discuss the films' comic book roots, Wolverine's introduction and Jean Grey's turn as the Dark Phoenix.

The Countdown podcast is available in video on Disney+ and YouTube, with an audio-only version on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other podcast platforms, according to Marvel. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to open in theaters on Dec. 18, 2026, and Screen Rant reported that Avengers: Secret Wars is set to follow a year later.
