The Apprentice Biopic Sheds Light on the Former President's Early Years with Roy Cohn
There's a new movie coming up about Donald Trump's early life called "The Apprentice," Film makers just started filming this biopic. The movie will share how Trump became famous and powerful, with a special focus on his friend Roy Cohn, who was a lawyer.
Ali Abbasi, who directed the thriller "Holy Spider," is in charge of the movie. The person who wrote the story is Gabriel Sherman, known for writing about important people. The movie is all about how Trump and Cohn worked together and what kind of culture they were a part of.
Sebastian Stan, the actor we know from Captain America's movies and "Pam & Tommy," will be playing the young Donald Trump. Jeremy Strong, who won an award for his acting, will play Roy Cohn. Maria Bakalova, who was in the Borat movie, will be Trump's first wife, Ivana.
The movie is set in the 1970s and 80s, showing how Trump learned to make deals and do tricky things with Cohn's help. Cohn was important during a time called the McCarthy era and the AIDS crisis. He also helped Trump with legal problems and gave him advice about politics.
Even though Trump has had some troubles recently, like being impeached and facing legal issues, he might run for president again in 2024, according to polls.
