Atlanta beat Philadelphia 6-2 in NL Wild Card Game 3; Chris Sale closed and the Braves advance to the NLDS vs. the Dodgers, per MLB.com and ESPN.

The Braves finished the Wild Card Series 2-1 and open the NLDS at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, with Sale still expected to factor into the rotation after the short relief outing.

Atlanta had lost six straight winner-take-all postseason games dating to 1996 and had been eliminated by Philadelphia in the 2022 and 2023 NLDS — Kerr’s opener and Sale’s final four outs flipped the script.
