Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's action-packed film, Tiger 3, has set a new record with a staggering global opening weekend, amassing approximately Rs 235 crore, according to early estimates. This three-day total is a milestone for both lead actors, marking the third-highest for a Hindi film globally, following two Shah Rukh Khan blockbusters.
The Maneesh Sharma-directed film kicked off its stellar weekend with a remarkable opening day, raking in Rs 92 crore. The momentum continued with collections of Rs 81.85 crore on Monday and Rs 62.5 crore on Tuesday, bringing the total to around Rs 236 crore.
Third Largest Opening Weekend: Tiger 3's global success secures its position as the third-highest opening weekend for a Hindi film, an exceptional feat for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
Impressive Domestic Performance: In India, the film boasted a robust start, with a stellar Sunday opening of Rs 43.50 crore, followed by Rs 59.25 crore on Monday and Rs 43.50 crore on Tuesday, accumulating a total of Rs 144.25 crore in net collections.
Outstanding Overseas Reception: Tiger 3's overseas journey commenced with USD 4.75 million (approx. Rs 40 crore) on Sunday, followed by USD 1.30 million (approx. Rs 10.75 crore) on Monday and USD 1.20 million (approx. Rs 10 crore) on Tuesday. The film's global weekend earnings stand at USD 7.15 million (approx. Rs 59.50 crore).
India Gross: Rs 176 crore
Overseas: Rs 59.50 crore
Total Estimated: Rs 535 crore
As Tiger 3 sets its sights on a four-day global total of around Rs 270 crore, the global opening week target is expected to reach approximately Rs 350 crore. While the film's three-day business is impressive, its sustainability and long-term performance will determine its ultimate box office impact.
