In a special event at Buckingham Palace, King Charles III celebrated the popular K-pop group Blackpink during the visit of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. The King acknowledged the group's important role in the fight against climate change, especially in educating young people.

Jennie Kim, Jisoo Kim, and Lalisa Manoban were named Honorary Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for their work as COP26 Advocates during the COP26 Summit in Glasgow in 2021. Roseanne Park (Rosé), who holds citizenship in both New Zealand and the UK, received a special MBE.

The ceremony took place on Wednesday morning in the prestigious 1844 Room at Buckingham Palace. These awards are part of a system in the UK that recognizes outstanding service to the nation and the world. People from outside the UK and the 14 realms under the monarchy receive honorary versions of these awards.
