Jaafar Jackson, the nephew of the late pop icon Michael Jackson, is set to star as his famous uncle in an upcoming biopic titled "Michael." This exciting news was revealed by Lionsgate and Universal Pictures International, who shared a first-look photo of Jaafar in character.

In the image, Jaafar is seen recreating a moment from Michael's 1992-1993 Dangerous Tour, captured by photographer Kevin Mazur. Dressed in a white long-sleeve top and black trousers, Jaafar bears a striking resemblance to his uncle as he sings into a microphone.

According to producer Graham King, Jaafar embodies Michael Jackson like no other actor could. Director Antoine Fuqua also praised Jaafar's performance, stating that he not only resembles Michael physically but also captures his spirit in a magical way.

The biopic, written by John Logan, promises to offer a candid portrayal of Michael Jackson's life, showcasing both his triumphs and struggles. Alongside Jaafar, the film features a talented cast including Colman Domingo, Nia Long, and Juliano Krue Valdi.
