Sam Altman has spoken for the first time about "Artificial," Luca Guadagnino's film on his 2023 OpenAI ouster, telling Vanity Fair Andrew Garfield "did walk like me."

Altman said part of it was filmed on his street, where he passed "a guy dressed exactly like me with my same backpack." They waved; Altman said that was their only contact.

"I don't think they're going for accuracy," Altman said, disputing a bunker scene. Neon picked up the film after Amazon MGM dropped it and plans a Christmas Day release, Vanity Fair's editor said.
