NASA Clears SpaceX of Drug Use Claims: Elon Musk Responds to Allegations

NASA has stated that there is no evidence of any such activities at the aerospace company. The assurance came following a report from the Wall Street Journal alleging Musk's use of illegal drugs like LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, and mushrooms. NASA emphasized its expectation that commercial partners, including SpaceX, adhere to workplace safety regulations during mission executions and service provisions to the public.

The Wall Street Journal's report also suggested that SpaceX executives were concerned about Musk's potential drug use during a company-wide meeting in 2017. Elon Musk refuted these allegations, asserting that random testing over three years failed to detect even trace quantities of drugs in his system. Musk explained that he willingly underwent the tests at NASA's request, particularly after he smoked marijuana on a podcast with Joe Rogan.

There had been speculation about the potential impact on Musk's government security clearance due to the drug use accusations. While sources claimed a review of Musk's security clearance by the Department of Defense, no official statement has been released on this matter.
